We have had a few medical issues lately. Nothing too serious unless you are the mama biting her lip to keep from crying. Recently Rooster had some dental work done which he is still mad about and reminds me of it. Just this week though I noticed his right foot turning in and he was walking funny. I thought his foot was asleep. So I asked my husband to observe him and he agreed to call the doctor. We went yesterday and Rooster had to take his boots and socks off (I did this, it was a bit wild) and we walked up and down the hallway. We got back to the room and Rooster began to act up, but so funny. He told the doctor that she was evil and it was ooonnnn. Clearly we watch too much Good Luck Charlie. Our doctor is actually a P.A. and strickingly beautiful with big blonde hair so Rooster really pays attention to her.
Anyway, she asks me if I am just now noticing this issue with his feet and I said yes. She tells me both feet turn in and he will need orthotics and therapy. They will schedule him to see an physical therapist. When a doctor tells you that your child will never walk and he does then you think anyway that he is walking is perfect. Not so. Being out of alignment can cause pain in the hips, legs or back. The doctor said he may be in pain now we just don't know it.
The last time we were in therapy it was a dissaster, but she assured me she would be sending us to a great place and it specializes in sensory issues. Okay so she wants more therapy for other issues. This is not a "should do" it is a "must do".
This is just another mountain we have to climb.
They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
Psalms 125:1
I may not be back for awhile so keep us in your prayers and you will be in mine.
Love,
Territory Mom
